I’m posting yet another mellow and moody crafting photo. Or at least this is how I like to think about these pictures – the reason is that I mostly knit and crochet at night, when it’s quiet, there are no little mouths to feed, little hands to wash, little faces to wipe. Most crafting mums with young families know the feeling, “one more row, yawn, just one more row…”
I did finish my shawl in gorgeous Knitcol by Adriafil and I am amending the pattern to be released soon. I also need to take some proper daylight pictures! I am a little in love with the yarn, the colours are stunning and it flows beautifully when knitting. I already have an order for a little girl version of the shawl, “with lots of pink mummy, please”. I’ll see what I can do about this one!
As soon as I blocked the shawl though I started another project. It seems I cannot live without 5 or 6 project bags floating around the house. And in the car… I was going to say the buggy too but to be entirely truthful we don’t use the buggy too much – Little Bird usually gets the best seat in the house, under my babywearing jacket in the Kinderpack carrier.
What I just started is a project for the newest baby girl in my family, a crochet heart blanket. I’m enjoying the hook and the change in flow of movement, different stitches and working in the round. You’ll see much more of red hearts here in the next days!
Thank you for visiting me and reading. What is in your project bag at the moment?
